On Monday, 24 February 2025, six of the seven students from Granville Boys High School’s Recorder Consort (group) reunited with their music teacher, Mrs Alison Shaw, for the first time in 47 years. They gathered at Granville Boys High School to recreate their 1978 photo outside the main school entrance, where they had posed before being selected to perform at the Sydney Opera House.
During their special visit, they toured the old music rooms and buildings and got to learn all about the current school's positive situation and successes.
Granville Boys High School alumnus and Australian-British author and dancer, Craig Revel Horwood (pictured far left), has been a TV judge on the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing since 2004. He has also served as a judge on Dancing with the Stars in New Zealand and Australia.
