Year 9 and 10

In Year 9 and 10 students deepen their knowledge, understanding and skills of mathematical concepts from Stage 4. They develop efficient strategies for numerical calculation, identify, visualise and explore measurements concepts and interpret data to make sound judgements.

Satisfactory completion of at least 200 hours of study in Mathematics during Stage 5 (Years 9 and 10) will be recorded with a grade for ROSA.

Course aim

  • Acquire mathematical knowledge and skills and develop an understanding of the application of mathematics.
  • Develop an appreciation of mathematics as a human activity.
  • Develop positive values and attitude towards lifelong learning and mathematics.
