The GBHS Barber Shop is the first school barber shop in Australia. Developed with our community partners at Information and Cultural Exchange Parramatta (ICE), the barbershop teaches students the competencies associated with "Urban Haircuts" as well as skills in personal presentation, customer service, and appropriate masculinity.
The 'Groom Room' has been featured widely in the media as a highly successful educational initiative, delivering positive results for the students involved, including improved self-esteem, greater engagement across all areas of learning, and significant improvement in behaviour and attendance. It is a great place to get a cool haircut!
