Friday night 'Shakespeare After Dark' event with English Advanced Year 11

On Friday 16 May, twenty Year 11 English Advanced students attended a special screening of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s cinematic production of Othello — the core text for their Critical Study this term.

Students experienced the play in its entirety in a theatre-like setting. The screening supports their learning by offering insight into how modern directors and audiences interpret Othello, a tragedy written by William Shakespeare around 1603.
