Japanese and Visual Arts excursion at Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival

Japanese and Visual Arts excursion at Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival

Selected Year 7 and Year 9 Japanese language class students, as well as Year 11 Visual Arts students from Granville Boys High School attended the sold-out 2024 Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival at Auburn Botanical Gardens on Wednesday 21 August.

Accompanied by Visual Arts Teacher, Ms Ahmadzai, Japanese Teacher, Ms Hu, and Visual Arts and Music Teacher, Ms Anthonyge, the boys had the opportunity to explore various Japanese cultural and art initiatives at the local botanical gardens, all while observing our own native animals.

The one-day excursion included the Japanese Gardens, experiencing the wonder of the cherry blossom trees, having lunch at the pop-up precinct of the Japanese Food Village, enjoying the Hello Kitty entertainment show while listening to traditional music, and participating in various cultural arts and craft workshops, including Manga and Origami.
