Granbots win two awards at National Championship East FLL Challenge

Granbots win two awards at National Championship East FLL Challenge.

Congratulations to our Granbots! Two of our teams took home an award each at the National Championship East FIRST LEGO League Challenge at Macquarie University on Saturday, 30 November, qualifying for the FIRST LEGO League Asia Pacific Open Championship in July 2025!

Three robotics teams - Granbots 2, Granbots 3, and Granbots 5 - did an incredible job representing Granville Boys High School at the national competition. Granbots 2 (Year 9 and Year 10) took home the Robot Design Award for their outstanding programming principles and solid engineering practices, developing a robot that is mechanically sound, durable, efficient, and highly capable of performing challenge missions. Granbots 3 (Year 7 and Year 8) won the Rising All-Star Award, an award that celebrates a team that the judges notice and expect great things from in the future.

Granbots 2 and Granbots 3 were two of only four teams, out of 54, to qualify to compete at an international level for the FIRST LEGO League Asia Pacific Open Championship, which will also be held at Macquarie University from 3 to 6 July 2025.
