Granville Boys High School robotics students demonstrated their robotics skills at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Girls’ Tech Day at The Cube, Campbelltown Convention and Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 22 November.
Of the 30 exhibitors at the event, Granville Boys was the only school, while the remaining contributors were comprised of tech companies. Over 800 students from 28 primary and secondary schools attended on the day. Our exhibition display was very popular, with our boys representing as great ambassadors. They were able to answer lots of questions and teach about their robots and robotics, such as explaining the workings of the machines.
AWS Girls’ Tech Day is a global initiative, established in Australia in 2019 in collaboration with Inspiring the Future, a not-for-profit organisation, that focuses on broadening the minds of girls to pursue careers in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math).
