The information processes and technology (IPT) Year 11 and 12 course, teaches students about information-based systems. It covers the processes of collecting, organising, analysing, storing and retrieving, processing, transmitting and receiving, and displaying, as well as the technologies that support them. With the background, students will be well placed to adapt to new technologies as they emerge.
In the preliminary course the students will learn about information skills and systems, the tools used for information processes, and developing an information system.
The course will allow students to complete both individual and group assessments. Students will be assessed on both practical and theoretical components.
